Have you ever wondered what a Bridge sounded like?

Hull City of Culture 2017 and Opera North chose to work with Orpheo to design the deepest experience you’ll ever have on a bridge. A trio of Norwegian musicians and composers, and sound artist Jez Riley French, along with musicians from Opera North, created this unique experience on the Humber Bridge: Get an audio-guide, a pair of headphones, and dive into the beauty of the landscape, where natural elements are mixed with a deep music and the noise of a heavy traffic.

 

Opera North entrusted Orpheo with the provision of audio-guides, and the installation of beacons, regularly placed on the bridge, to trigger automatically the music from the headsets, along this 3 miles return journey.
