Orpheo in the age of cathedrals

Considered as one of the most beautiful examples of high baroque architecture in Europe, the Co-cathedral of St. John of Valletta was built by the Knights of Malta between 1573 and 1578. The outside appearance as a military fort , while the inside reveals finely carved walls, vaulted ceilings and a marble floor containing the tombs of many knights.
